I really enjoyed your article, I agree that this is definatly an issue for both men and women. There are many different reasons as to why we develop the "fatty belly" but we can do something to change it. We have to become active and eat healthy, you may not see the same stomach you had as a teenager but thru a regimented routined exercise program and introducing a well balanced diet into your life in time the results will start to appear.
What is 30 minutes a day going to effect on your daily schedule that it would be compromised when you are doing something for yourself. We as a society naturally come up with excuses as to why we cant exercise daily, make the right food choices but shouldnt your health be a priority....I think so.
Always staying healthy, active and positive is definatly a key, though you may not see instant results by sight how your feel inside should be motivating enough to follow thru and stay on track.
Remember try and stay positive as the right attitude definalty contributes to the results.
Have a great day everyone :)

I had three c-sections, tow of which 13 months apart. I have since lost all my weight and more. I am a size 4, but still struggle with the big bulge in the tummy. It is very obvious on me because of being so thin everywhere else. I have been doing strength training and cardio for 4 months now 3-4 times a week. I also eat very healthy with not much refined carbs. I cook everything myslef and stay away from sugar. I am beginning to think surgery is my only option to really get rid of it, but I wont do that so I guess I am stuck with it. I can litterly grab it and squeeze to feel nothing inside, it is just a ton of skin! Yuck!

I heard an interesting theory that where your fat collects is largely due to the environment your ancestors grew up in. People in warmer climates tended to have their excess fat around their midsection as it would keep them cooler while still protecting their vital organs, while those in colder regions had fat distrubted evenly throughout the body to help keep them warm as well. I am half East Indian and I definitely see this trait in many Indians.

I was a certified NASM personal trainer and I would only suggest that "the sucking in the belly" technique known to many as vaccums or the drawing in maneuver should be practiced from the beginning. It helps to activate the core and can be done anywhere and anytime.

I agree diet is the very essence. It took me alot of years of losing, gaining weight. I have 2 kids age 2 and 5 months, currently I have lost 60 pounds and the stomach is a big big challenge! I have gone down quite a bit but What I make sure I do is a different exercises, using variation so my body does not get used to the same exercises. I plateau very easy and keep eating my 1600 cals a day. a little more if i work out extra. But cardio, weights is the way to go. I was scared at first about becoming bulky until i read up on it. I can't believe I am now a size 10/11-down from size 18 after birth!. I was this size so long ago and my fat is becoming muscle. remarkable. My goal is to be a size 4 or size 6, and no longer be jiggly lol. But I feel this will take time at least another 3 months or so, but patience and everything comes in time! I love this energy, I love my body and im proud. I think you have to be proud of yourself, so many times ive seen people not be happy with their image even after great weightloss. But I just want to say. Your doing great and I'll see ya there when we are all fit and look like ultimate goddesses, ha! bye.

Obesity is really going a chronic disease. This is because of their over consuming. We all know that. When you do some appetite suppressants you could solve the problem. Fucoxanthine is one of the best natural ingredient that is mainly targeted to reduce the weight. This supplementation also effects in controlling diabetes and even cancer.

I'm a Pro Fitness Trainer and I have a tip for all of you that may help. Food is an important key. Getting off the processed "food is a must." the first thing that I have my clients do is what I call a white out. That is take anything white out of your foods. Bread, pasta, potatos, sugar, and so on. You will beging to lose immediately. Another thing to remember is that during high intensity aerobic workouts that the body can actually become an--aerobic meaning that the fuel source for burning calories swtiches to catbohydrates. It is not until the heart rate begins falling that the the body will switch fuel sources and begin burning fats. It take more oxygen to burn fats than carbs, So 1 hour after that great cardio routine don't eat but do drink plenty of water and add some fresh lemons. Your body becomes a fat burning machine in that hour. Now change what you eat and how much you eat andhow often you eat. I hope this helps.

Approaching late twenties is a good time to get control. I find young people so much more aware of health and how to stay healthy. On the other hand those same people are NOT doing it to the tune of the most overweight young generation ever. Keep us up on your progress.

I've bookmarked your blog to come back and get tips from. I would love it if you would pop over to the Be Naturally Well community and add your link so my readers can find you more easily. There are lots of health bloggers out there and people are looking. Here's the (<a href="http://www.benaturallywell.com/blog/add-your-blog/" target="blank" rel="nofollow">link</a>)
